STABILISED OXYGEN (MAGNESIUM PEROXIDE): OXYGENATED MAGNESIUM BOOST
Magnesium peroxide (MgO2) contains 43% powdered mineral magnesium (Mg) and 57% pure stabilized oxygen (O2).
The magnesium is 30% more assimilable than in food sources. Magnesium is an ideal carrier for the oxygen, since it is an antacid and alkalizes the gut fluid, enabling the oxygen to dissolve, especially in acidic non-vegetarians, who usually are magnesium deficient and have calcium excess. Magnesium is an essential mineral, the fourth most needed in the body, and within the cell, second only to Potassium (see Nutri Spice).
Many enzymes require Magnesium for activation and it is involved with several physiological and biochemical processes including synthesis of RNA, DNA or protein and stabilization of membranes. (Ref: Schweigel M, Martens H, Frontiers in Bioscience 5, August 2000)
Currently, pathologies as common as diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidaemia (and cerebral palsy and pregnancy complications) are associated with altered magnesium levels and it is now considered a potential tool in the prevention or co-adjuvant treatment of ventricular arrhythmias, coronary heart disease and cirrhosis of the liver, asthma, migraine, and systemic lupus erythematosus among others. New oxidative stress findings support the need for magnesium supplementation with antioxidant vitamins for people living in conditions of chronic or sub-chronic stress (Ref: Cernak I, et al, Magnes Res, 13(1), 2000)
