October Newsy

Dear Gaia subscribers, today we’d like to talk about the incredible benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide.

What is Hydrogen Peroxide?

What is Hydrogen Peroxide?

If any substance is interesting it has to be Hydrogen Peroxide. Simply put, hydrogen peroxide is a clear naturally occurring liquid compound comprising of two hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms combined to form H202.

This arrangement makes the substance highly reactive and easily broken down. The breakdown of the substance forms water and oxygen.

There are however various grades of hydrogen peroxide and the 35% food grade is not to be confused with other grades of this substance occurring in varying strengths and used for multiple purposes. Only 35% FOOD GRADE hydrogen peroxide is suitable for human consumption and is then further diluted to a 3% solution which is then safe to ingest.

Even though our bodies produce it, as well as being a naturally occurring substance found in nature, the increasing awareness that is gaining momentum is that it food grade hydrogen peroxide has numerous health promoting benefits if the intake is increased over and above the levels that our bodies are able to produce naturally.

Why is H2O2 necessary

Why is H2O2 necessary

Scientists along with other tests have shown that oxygen deprivation of cells is extremely detrimental to the normal functioning and health of individual cells in our bodies.

Depriving a cell of oxygen is an open invitation to harmful complications. Our bodies need oxygen and hydrogen peroxide to function correctly. Even the cells responsible for fighting infection and foreign invaders in the body (white blood cells) produce hydrogen peroxide and use it to oxidize any offending culprits. The ability of our cells to produce hydrogen peroxide is essential for life and is a basic requirement for good health.

Hydrogen peroxide also has the ability to stimulate enzyme systems triggering an increase in the metabolic rate causing small arteries to dilate and increase blood flow thereby increasing the oxygen flow enhancing the consumption of oxygen.

Which conditions can it be used for ?

Which conditions can it be used for ?

Much of the interest in hydrogen peroxide waned with the advent of prescription drugs. Prior to this it was extensively used to treat numerous health conditions and ailments with the list including some very simple conditions right up to and including more complex sicknesses.

Hydrogen peroxide can act on almost any part of our bodily functions ie. our immune system, our digestive system and more importantly cell proliferation and ability to release oxygen more readily into the bloodstream. It is also a very reputable germ and harmful bacterial killer with yeast, fungal, viral, bacterial and parasitic infections being unable to withstand its power.

From asthma to prostatitis, sinusitis to ulcers down to the common sore throat, hydrogen peroxide is effective in combating more serious conditions like cerebral vascular disease, cardiovascular disease including multiple sclerosis and liver cirrhosis.

Even though inconclusive, its ability to inhibit cancers and HIV have been documented and further studies are being conducted to hopefully reveal new findings.

For orders over and above R500 we are happy to include one 75ml 35% (food grade) hydrogen peroxide at no cost. Please note that although it is colourless and odorless to a certain extent and is refered to as “super oxygenated water” it is a semi-volatile substance which requires diluting with a strict storage and handling protocol.

The dosage recommendation (3-5 drops) and amounts are also of utmost importance and a thorough knowledge of the above substance is critical to it’s health optimizing properties and safe usage.

Hydrogen peroxide is best absorbed when the body is in an alkaline state.
